Unconditional Access for Adoptees to an uncensored and certified copy of their currently sealed Original Birth Certificates is only part of the solution: No Parental Permission Required, No Intermediaries, No Compromises. Something is fishy between International Agencies: While the United Nations, through UNICEF, promotes registering every child’s birth, The Hague Convention on Intercountry Adoption REQUIRES a ‘new’ (amended and false) Live Birth Certificate for every child who is adopted. We Need Universal Standardized Birth Certificates and Adoption Certificates in America

My natural father gave my OBC to my adopting parents when he relinquished me to them in 1956. My adoptive mother threw my birth certificates and adoption papers at me when I was 18 years old just days after I was found by siblings she did not want me to ever know.

Even though I have had my OBC in my possession since 1974, I am still legally banned from receiving a certified copy of my true birth certificate from New York State.
